Inventory Parts Leader

The Inventory Parts Leader is responsible for overseeing the management, organization and flow of parts inventory to support operational efficiency. This role ensures accurate stock levels, optimizes inventory processes, and coordinates with teams to ensure timely delivery and availability of parts. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Job Responsibilities

Inventory Management:

  • Oversee daily inventory operations, ensuring proper stocking, labeling, and organization of parts.
  • Pick parts for counter salesmen
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and annual physical inventories to ensure accuracy
  • Monitor stock levels and initiate reordering to avoid shortages or overstock.

Leadership and Team Coordination:

  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring productivity and adherence to company policies.
  • Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Process Improvement:

  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, operations, and logistics teams to streamline processes

Customer and Vendor Relations:

  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely receipt of parts and resolve delivery issues.
  • Support internal teams with accurate and timely access to required parts.
  • Weekly review of PO's suggested and ordered - ensure arriving/ordering in timely manner.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in the storage and handling of parts.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workhouse environment.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent ( Parts Management Certificate or related field preferred )
  • 2+ years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or a similar role.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Ability to lift and move heavy items ( up to 50 lbs ) as specified by the employer.
  • Ability to stand, walk and/or sit for prolonged periods
